Coming Up

Returning to our Roots

It’s been far too long, and we’ve missed you all dearly!

But the wait is nearly over: we are thrilled to announce that for our first event back up and running, we’re returning to our roots with a staged reading in downtown Milan, Michigan!

Join us at 7pm on Saturday, October 9th in Tolan Square for a reading of Helpless, by Nan Luchini.

HELPLESS

Saturday, October 7th

7:00pm

We’ve all felt helpless.

What would you do if you came home to a burglary in progress? Would you fight back? Run away? Try to reason with the thief?

Lisa finds herself in this precise situation when she comes home on Christmas Eve. We watch as she treads the line between fighting back and keeping calm, and as conversation opens up, we all learn a bit more about who is the more helpless person in this situation after all.

Helplessness is a feeling we can all relate to, especially over the course of the last year and a half. We look forward to sharing this story of vulnerability, compassion, and learning both sides of the story.

Please bring your own yard chairs or picnic blanket and we hope to see you there!

Directed by Craig Ester. Starring Joey Albright and K Edmondson.
